Training tips & course info

This page will be updated regularly from our coaches & course director as the event nears.

This is not an easy event to complete as an individual without some kind of training and skill in each discipline

You will need to be able to run across rough terrain, including rocks , creeks , steep up and down hills all while keeping an eye out for the Red and White Hazard tape that marks the course.

On the MTB again there is steep downhills that if you dont have the experience you may need to walk down for safety and you will definitely have to push your bike up at least one of the hills

The swim and the paddle are the least strenuous but some surf skills on the paddle will be an advantage.

If the surf is dangerous this leg will be altered

So hill training. Dont neglect downhill run training as its a great way to condition your quads  . Up skilling on rough terrain for run and bike and paddle on the ocean
